Guilbault’s employee benefits package:

Following are a mechanic’s main responsibilities in the team of Bobby,  director at our Boucherville mechanic workshop.

  • Detect potential breakdowns on fleet trucks according to the rules of the Preventive Maintenance program (PMP);
  • Effective use of the various diagnostic software;
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities for conventional and diesel engines;
  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs;
  • Ensure the conformity of the equipment according to current standards;
  • Perform various welding work;
  • Maintain and repair the starting, cooling, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems as well as tires and wheels;
  • Check, diagnose, repair and adjust the clutches, manual and automatic transmissions, the braking system as well as the fuel and injection systems
  • Perform all other related duties.

 

Do you have what it takes to meet the challenge?

  • One to two years of experience in a similar role;
  • Valid PMP certificate (an asset);
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in heavy duty equipment mechanics;
  • Skilled with his/her hands (to perform manual tasks);
  • Independent and resourceful;
  • Optional (but pleasant anyway): have a great sense of humour;
  • And know how to whistle while working just to set the mood in the workshop, why not!
